Fordingbridge sits on the edge of the New Forest with Salisbury pulling attention one way and Ringwood the other. Verwood is a shorter drive than either at about seven miles, and going through Alderholt keeps you off the main roads for most of it.
A market town of this size has the basics covered and not much beyond them, so anything that involves lying down for an hour usually means travelling. Fifteen minutes to a private studio with off road parking and one client at a time compares well with twenty five into Salisbury and a multi storey.
If you are already coming this far, the Prescription Facial at £40 is the one that makes the trip worthwhile. Fifty to sixty minutes, a treatment mask, an extended massage across the shoulders, neck and décolletage, and a scalp or hand massage while the mask does its work.
Getting here from Fordingbridge
Head southwest out of town towards Alderholt, then straight down Alderholt Road into Verwood. Around seven miles, mostly on quiet roads.
Coming down in the morning leaves the rest of the day clear, and the roads through Alderholt are at their emptiest before ten.
