Ferndown sits roughly five and a half miles south of the studio, a straightforward run north through West Moors that takes somewhere around a quarter of an hour.
Ferndown has no shortage of salons, which is exactly why some people end up looking further afield. A busy high street salon is built to move clients through efficiently, and that works well for a blow dry. It works less well for a treatment whose whole point is that you stop thinking for an hour.
The studio in Verwood takes one client at a time in a private room at home. The drive up the B3072 through West Moors is about thirteen minutes from most of Ferndown, and the roads are quiet once you clear the Ringwood Road junction. For a treatment you are hoping will actually relax you, that short extra drive tends to be worth it.
Treatments use Tropic skincare throughout, chosen for your skin on the day rather than fixed in advance. If you already use Tropic at home, the products will be familiar. If you do not, you will leave knowing which two or three actually suited your skin, with no pressure to buy any of them.
From the Barrington Centre end of Ferndown, head north on the B3072 through West Moors and Three Legged Cross. From the Ferndown Industrial Estate side, cutting up through West Parley and Longham adds time, so the West Moors route is usually the quicker one.
The drive north thins out considerably after five, so an appointment straight after work is easier from the Ferndown industrial estates than you might expect. Times vary week to week, so it is worth asking for a late one.
